SERVICES / EVENTS

Town and Country Gardens offers many services, from helping you out to your car to designing a new garden. Below are just a few of the ways we delight in "serving" our customers.

  • Garden Consultations - there are two levels available
    • The first is a basic solution package. Our qualified consultant will visit your home to assess and discuss your preferences, problems and ideas. Verbal solutions may be provided on the spot or a brief report provided afterwards. This level is ideal for small balconies and courtyards or to just get advice about plant problems and diseases.
    • The second level is more in depth. Following the initial consultation above, a detailed plan to scale will be drawn of your new design taking into account any preferences or ideas you have expressed. You will then meet with the consultant at Town and Country Gardens to discuss plant selection and design. Upon approval by yourself, Town and Country Gardens will provide a detailed quote for your new design (excluding hard landscaping such as paving etc).
    • Should you choose, Town and Country Gardens may also implement the new design or provide assistance with project management.

  • Plant identification
    • Have you seen a plant in a neighbour's garden and want one too? Bring a sample of any plant (include leaves AND flowers) into Town and Country Gardens and we'll try and identify it for you. With qualified Horticulturalists on staff we can identify most specimens on the spot. If not, we have a number of sources to get assistance from and should have an answer in a few days. We may even be able to get one in for you.
  • Plant pests and diseases
    • Pests and diseases are inevitable in most gardens. Nature is full of the good, the bad and unfortunately the ugly. At Town and Country Gardens, there are few problems that we haven't come across before. Bring in a sample of the problem plant and it's inhabitants and we should be able to give you advice on how to solve the issue. We have environmentally friendly remedies as well as hard-core solutions.
  • Rose Pruning Demonstrations
    • Once a year, Town and Country Gardens holds a free Rose Pruning Demonstration at each of it's locations. Supported by many of our suppliers, there are lots of free give-aways as well as amazing advice and input from the Victorian Rose Society. Where else will you get free advice and demonstrations from the experts?
  • Tool Sharpening
    • Town and Country Gardens has an on-site tool sharpening service for garden and kitchen blades including secateurs, loppers, scissors and knives. Your tools will not be sent away so they're always safe and can be serviced and sharpened within 24 hours (depending on schedule).
  • Lucky Draw - Christmas and Mother's Day
    • At Town and Country Gardens we love to get into the spirit of the season. Twice a year, we hold a lucky draw for customers. With every purchase, you can enter your name and details to win a wonderful prize. Previous prizes have included a hamper, dinner for two or gift voucher for the nursery.
  • Free Giftwrapping
    • Town and Country gardens prides itself on it's giftwrapping of plants, giftware and even a spade or two around Father's Day. For every purchase over $10.00 giftwrapping is free! Make that something special just a little more spectacular.
